About this Short Film
Navigating a neurotypical society as an AuDHDer means constant, exhausting performance. Too Much World is an experimental short film that strips away that performance to expose and explore the intense internal reality of masking and sensory overload. Through jagged mixed-media animation and raw hand-drawn visuals, the film visualises the often invisible. A smiling face ripped in half exposes a screaming shot beneath, laying bare the exhausting performance of masking. Backed by theatrical, highly-stylised lighting design and a crushing, amplified soundscape where every day noises collide into a chaotic wall of sound, Too Much World is a raw and honest exploration of an AuDHDers experience.
