The Focus on Ability™ annual International Short Film Festival challenges filmmakers to create a short (5-minute) film that celebrates the achievements and abilities of people with disability.

Join us for the 2023 RED CARPET AWARDS at The Concourse Concert Hall, 409 Victoria Ave, Chatswood, Sydney NSW on Sunday, 5th November 23. Red Carpet arrival 1 pm, Awards Show 2 pm to 4.30 pm, Event ends 5.30 pm.

The Focus on Ability™ Short Film Festival Red Carpet Awards recognises the outstanding achievements and creativity of our film makers and celebrates winners in all categories.

Join with the sponsors, judges and film makers for a truly memorable event with food, drinks and entertainment, a screening of a selection of films, and the announcement of the winners.

The Focus Story

This festival asks film makers to 'Focus on the Ability' of people with a disability and tell a story on film for the world to view.

Films are judged by a professional judging panel and subject to an online voting process, with separate prizes for each category.

Paula DuncanPaula Duncan, known for both her success in the Australian film and television industry and passion for supporting people with disability, has worked tirelessly to bring this festival to the world.
