About this Short Film
A child with ADHD finds it difficult to concentrate in class and often drifts off into his own world. When a history teacher starts talking about wars, he is thinking about the Emu War (1932) and he plays a scenario in his head about his classmates as his fellow recruits, and his teacher as the commander.

Mrs Smith, understand you are dependent on me. There is an exam in a week's time on Australian involvement in war. You are not involved in class and there are so many.
They take our land. They take our dignity. And then they dare to eat our crops. Unacceptable behaviour. Those bloody animals. They've stopped me from eating bread for a month now. They need to be put down. Snap out of it. You see their eyes. Soulless. They are heartless murderers, and we need to treat them as such.
Gather around. We haven't made any progress in weeks. We need to make a breakthrough. Finish this once and for all. Any takers? No one. I guess I'll need to call all the people without their hands up. Great. We have takers.
On my call, run as fast as you can. Run to the other side. Shoot them. Boom. Victory. Very interesting. They're ready for us. Right. That's progress. Jackson, you got the next wave.
Fine, I'll join, but you guys lead the way. Edward, you're going to be on my left. Jackson on my right. On my call, I'll be behind you. Ready? Let's go.
Jackson, this is terrifying. You're right. They are cold-hearted killers. They seem angry, distracted. Even if there was a time to strike, it would be now.
