About this Short Film
The Go Gang is a short documentary about friendship, belonging and the power of community and sustainability. Founded by a mother for her son, Myles, The Go Gang began with one simple question which is asked a lot - "Who will be there for him when I'm no longer around?" Rather than relying solely on formal services, the vision was to create a genuine circle of friends, a genuine circle of support built on shared experiences, mutual support and lasting connections. Many members are accomplished artists whose creativity has flourished through Monte Lupo Arts Brisbane, where talent, confidence and friendship continue to grow side by side. As the group grows, it becomes clear that Myles is not the only person whose life has changed. Every member has found friendship, confidence and purpose. Their individual talents shine through, from remarkable artistic ability to sporting achievements and countless everyday strengths and wonderful values. Through laughter, adventure and looking out for one another, this group demonstrates that true inclusion happens when people belong and care for each other.
