Ayna's Way (2026), film still

Ayna's Way

About this Short Film

Ayna shares her journey of growing up with ADHD and often feeling misunderstood at school. Through interviews and recreated scenes, the video explores how her behaviour was often mistaken for defiance, rather than recognised as a need for support and understanding. It highlights how one teacher’s care and belief in her had a lasting impact. The story comes full circle as Ayna returns to the same school she attended from Prep to Year 12, now as a teacher herself, showing the powerful difference educators can make when they look beyond behaviour.

Such a beautiful and heartfelt film ❤️ Hearing her share her own experience of growing up with ADHD really touched me. I think this will make such a positive impact on kids who are going through something similar, helping them feel understood and know that they’re not alone. Such a beautiful and meaningful message ❤️
