I wake up in the morning with a big smile on my face. I follow my morning routine chart to get ready for the day. I can do most of my routine with only a little support.
I love going to my day program. It gives me the chance to spend time with my friends and try new activities. I love catching the train with the program and going on outings. I can make new friends and enjoy being part of the community.
Music is a big part of my life. I am a great singer and I love to dance and express myself through movement. I also enjoy going to disco because they are so much fun.
I enjoy taking care of myself. I love getting my nails done and making healthy food choices. I help choose and prepare my meals and I enjoy cooking. I also help my support worker with household chores around the house.
Exercise is important to me. I enjoy swimming and going to the gym because it helps keep me healthy and active. Sometimes on the weekends, I also enjoy going bowling.
I love spending time with my family. I am a good auntie to my niece Scarlet. I stay connected with my family and friends by sending text messages and playing online games with them. I also enjoy playing games like an O and Pop the Pig.
I have had many great experiences with my friends from the day program. We went to see MJ the musical, which was very exciting. I also enjoy extended hours with my friends where we watch movies together, eat popcorn and then go out for dinner at a restaurant. We always have lots of fun together.
On some Mondays, my support worker and I go grocery shopping. In the afternoon, I receive support with showering when I need it.
Weekends are a time to relax and make choices about what I would like to do. I enjoy sleeping in, shopping, bowling, or choosing other activities that interest me. Every night, it is part of my routine to call my mum before I go to bed. It helps me end the day feeling happy and connected.
I can do many things just like everybody else. I can learn new things, listen to others when they are talking, make choices, build friendships, and be an active member of my community. I am proud of what I can do and the life I live.
